Witcher 3 was released and at the time of this show’s recording (Saturday), I couldn’t really tell you much about it. It doesn’t work for me. Well, it didn’t work for me for a good part of the week but testing it as of this writing (Monday), it’s working fine. And that’s good, but I’m far too distracted now with a much smaller (and cheaper) game.
Seriously, I know Witcher 3 is the big beautiful game right now, but if you love exploration and the Metroid-vania style of gameplay (heavy emphasis on Metroid) then do yourself a favor and play Axiom Verge. I talked about this game last week, this past week and I’ll be talking about it again this coming week. It is a fantastic game and no matter how much time I put into it whenever I sit down to play it, I always discover something new. A new power up, a new hidden item or area. Something new is always found no matter if I play for an hour or just 5 minutes.
Which is more than I can say for Witcher 3 at the moment.
